ARTIST BIO

Within my work,I explore a variety of materials and techniques, most often with acrylic and oil paints, that draw from my own psychological perspective and experiences, that are then abstracted in order to romanticize the event itself into fragmented elements. I attempt to use paint to its full advantage by leaving surface texture present, while using simple brush strokes as definition for shapes and forms. 

My body of work is intended to act as a safe sort of containment space for events and memories that are then blurred and often made indistinguishable to an outsider’s eyes. By leaving my works up to interpretation through a series of breaking down recognizable elements, I intend to invite a conversation, influenced by the veiled narrative of each piece.
